If you have yet to start the navigation stage of your flight training then understanding how we get an aeroplane from our departure airfield
to our destination can seem confusing and complicated! And whilst there are lots of things to consider, its all boils down to distance, speed and time. Measure the heading and distance from one point to another, fly that heading at a know speed and you should be able to determine an ETA to a way point or destination. Of course, nothing is ever that straightforward and we need to consider airspace, terrain, obstacles and weather which starts to make things a little more complex! Our Navigation ground school course will take you through the process of planning a flight and and taking all these factors into account.
